Cruelty Free Shopping Guide App Reviews

Amazing!

Thank u for all the information

Could be better

Its nice to have a list with good brands, But it would be so much easier and faster if there was a "bad brands" list to search from. And also being able to add new brands by the user would be a good feature.

Dont bother, not reliable

Out of date information. Recommends a company that is owned by Loreal: a company that does animal testing

Wish I could search any product

This app is useful if youre purchasing products on the already created list of cruelty free products...if you want to know whether something in a generic store is cruelty free and its not on their list youre better off googling.

Not cruelty free

How is burts bees in this list of cruelty free ??? It is cruelty to bees? Honey is not vegan so why would you have it in here? Cruelty free means no harm to anything or one does it not ???

Hmmm

You made an update recently but still have not removed Burts Bees. Because of this, i dont know if you have added brands/products that shouldnt be there. Id rather not go through the list to find out. I could do that without the app thus rendering the app useless. Please update the list and do some more research I do like the layout of it though

Missing A lot of Selections

Your app consists of a variety of selections, however, a majority of companies that do not test on animals are missing. Such as The body shop does not sell products that are tested on animals. So is Marc Jacobs. Please add selection to your app to make it effective amongst the vegan community. Thanks.

Useful

Its an impotant app cause it helps you to find which companies dont test on animals. Thanx

Nice vegan guide

As a vegan, I really like this guide! Thank you!

!!!Please also integrates with European brands!!!

Please also integrates with European brands!!! VERY IMPORTANT...THANKS 4U JOB

Theres no valid reason for testing toiletries on animals.

This app is extremely useful for determining which products are truly cruelty-free and which are simply a "feel good" subsidiary of a larger entity that still engages in animal testing elsewhere. Its quick and easy to use when I do my shopping at Fresh Market, Whole Foods, or Trader Joes. One small bug in this app. A product I scanned (Mrs. Meyers Hand Soap, manufactured for the Caldrea Company) had a small, pink-ish square next to the leaping bunny logo. A blue square is mentioned in the key as being a non-compliant company, but no mention is made of the icon I found.

Its half way there.

I would also like to see a list of companies that are not cruelty free. It would be easier when I am looking at something and wondering if they are a company I want to give my money to if I could look at a list that has their name on it and not the other way around.

Terrible

This app isnt efficient whatsoever in my experience.

Glitchy

As a dedicated vegan I was so excited to try this app out and was hoping to share it with others who are trying to make better consumer decisions. But the first glitch was when it asked me to sign the pledge which never loaded. I shut the app down. Reopened. Nope. Then I tried scanning a barcode and it froze then the same notification (about the barcode not being found) popped up 13 times before I finally shut the app down again. I really hope these bugs get ironed out because I absolutely love the idea of this app!!

Dissapointed

The list of products and companies works but when you try to go to the companies website by the link provided I get an error message with all except for a few. Please fix.

Missing Tons Of companies

When doing a search for some of the common brands I know, I couldnt find of them listed? Also, I didnt see anywhere you actually scan a barcode. I dont find this useful at all. Disappointed.

Amazing! No reason to ever doubt products again.

Ethical, good quality products for every aspect of your life. LUSH HAS to be added!

?

I installed this app successfully on my ipad2, but it hangs on the opening screen. Bummer! Update: I just didnt realize it only works in landscape orientation. This app is just a list of companies; there is no additional information about a given companys level of commitment to cruelty-free. I appreciate the idea behind this app, but googling a product yields more valuable information regarding its cruelty-free status.

Easy to use!

Great app and super easy to use, but only works on iPad in landscape position.

Major disappointment

Appears stuck on the iPad unless you switch to landscape mode. No search function and, worse, just a list of websites. Would be more useful if you could look up products within the app.
